Designer Profile: Aloha Interior Design

Aloha Interior Design is an extension of Rick Clark’s love for the Hawaiian Islands. Clark became a full time Big Island resident 12 years ago and launched his company in May of 2005 after working the previous five years for two Kona designers.

Clark's unique blend of rich experiences and a clear vision define his holistic approach to design. Creating tranquil living spaces inspired by nature’s pallet, sounds, and textures, Clark creates homes harmonious with the natural world. “In my style of design, attention is placed on every detail and carefully thought through resulting in a space of both function and beauty,” say Clark.

Aloha Interior Design works with both private homeowners and commercial establishments and is committed to creating original, personal, and functional interior spaces. “We always focus on our client's sense of identity and uniqueness regardless of the project size,” Clark notes. “We get to know our clients and their routines including likes and dislikes, tastes and preferences.

AID works closely with the architects and builders on a project from the earliest stages of conception through to the final walk-through to ensure that every detail of a project has superior quality workmanship, and preventing costly errors.

Clark designs both contemporary and tropical interiors, and has a strong passion for Hawaiiana—including his personal collection of more than 25 years. From creating a space for a specific function, to complete remodeling jobs-- including kitchen and bathrooms, home theaters—to furniture planning and acquisitions, or wall finishes, painting, and more Aloha Interior Design covers all of the bases.
